Santiago A. Rosado, M.D. F.A.C.P., F.A.C.G.
Santiago A. Rosado, M.D. F.A.C.P., F.A.C.G. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Certified in Gastroenterology. After attending the University of Florida and the University of Puerto Rico for his undergraduate degree, he pursued medicine at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. He completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio from 1986-1989 and later completed his Fellowship at Guthrie Clinic Limited in Pennsylvania. In the summer of 1991 he established his practice at G.I. Associates. In January, 2002, he became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Steven Yu Villanueva, M.D.
Steven Yu Villanueva, M.D. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology. In 1988, he began his residency at Guthrie Medical Center in Pennsylvania where he later pursued his fellowship. From 1986-1988, Dr. Villanueva completed a Fellowship at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he performed clinical research in Hepatology. After working at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania, he joined G.I. Associates in 1995.
Timothy J. Cavacini, D.O.
Timothy J. Cavacini, D.O. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Certified in Gastroenterology. After graduating from Rutgers College in 1986 with a B.A. in Biology, Dr. Cavacini continued his education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and became a doctor of Osteopathy. In 1991, Dr. Cavacini completed his rotating internship at Lewistown Hospital in Pennsylvania. He began his residency at Geisinger Medical Center and completed his medical training with a Gastroenterology fellowship at Robert Packer Hospital, Guthrie Clinic, also in Pennsylvania. Dr. Cavacini joined G.I. Associates in 1996.
Stuart A. Soroka, M.D.
Stuart A. Soroka, M.D. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Certified in Gastroenterology. After graduating from the University of Florida in 1990, Dr. Soroka attended medical school at the University of Miami School of Medicine from 1990-1994. At Emory University School of Medicine, Dr. Soroka completed his Internship in Internal Medicine from 1994-1995. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine from 1995-1997 and then completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Emory University School of Medicine from 1997-2000. Dr. Soroka joined G.I. Associates in 2000.
Daniel J. Gassert, M.D.
Daniel J. Gassert, M.D. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Certified in Gastroenterology. After graduating with honors from Duke University, Dr. Gassert received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 2000. While at NYU, he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical school honor society. Dr. Gassert trained at New York-Presbyterian Hospital at Cornell University and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center for his Internal Medicine residency. He completed a three-year Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Gassert joined G.I. Associates in 2006.
William J Barlow, M.D.
William J Barlow, M.D. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Barlow graduated from college and medical school at the University of Kansas. In 1999, he began his residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. After completing his residency, he spent 2 years conducting clinical and basic science research in esophageal disease with a focus on non-erosive reflux disease of the esophagus. In 2004, he began his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Tulane University. Due to hurricane Katrina, he spent a year of his fellowship at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. Dr. Barlow joined G.I. Associates in 2007.
Anis A. Ahmadi, M.D.
Anis A. Ahmadi, M.D. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. Ahmadi attended the University of Florida for both his undergraduate and post-graduate degrees. He completed his residency at Shands Hospital, Gainesville from 1998-2002. He was Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami before accepting a position with G.I. Associates in 2010.
